What a site asks of you, once it is live

A delivered site is not a finished site: it has to be backed up, updated, repaired, and sometimes worked on so that people find it. This page says exactly which actions that means, month by month, and what pushes the price up. What needs maintaining depends on what your site does: the obligations inherited from your configuration come first, and they cannot be unticked.

    Upkeep and monitoring

    from 1 000 CHF per year

    Upkeep is priced by the year, never by the month: what you pay for is dated actions spread across twelve months. Backups, updates, certificates, watching for pages that stop answering, and repair within the response time agreed. It is priced into the very first quote, never discovered on an invoice in year two.

    Amounts exclude VAT. Swiss value added tax at 8.1 % is added for clients domiciled in Switzerland. For clients domiciled abroad, the service is deemed to be supplied abroad within the meaning of art. 8 para. 1 LTVA and the invoice is issued without VAT.

    What will determine your fee

    The house does not publish a monthly price list, and here is why: three things decide the fee, and two of them depend on your site more than on our rates.

    1. What your site does, which decides the inherited obligations above.
    2. The response time you choose, which is the heaviest item.
    3. The search work: none, light or regular depending on your trade.

    You get a figure in writing after a ten-minute conversation, and it does not move afterwards. That short delay is worth more than a number shown here that would have to be corrected at the first exchange.
